Shaolin Martial Arts Temple with Traditional Kung Fu
The classic and oldest practice of Shaolin Master is animal imitation. The observation and imitation of animals taught the monks the basis of their art. Man, weaker than the animal, has always had to use his higher intelligence to survive. From a wide variety of animals, the monks learned basic fighting and defensive positions. But instead of merely copying the movements superficially, the masters adopted the basic principle. The main focus was always on the defensive positions, never on the attacking positions.

Chan Meditation
Chan meditation, also known as "Zen" in Japanese, is an ancient Buddhist practice that originated in the Shaolin martial arts monastery. This type of meditation is based on the teachings of Buddhism and focuses on understanding the true nature of reality. She encourages practitioners to observe their own thoughts with an open mind and to develop a deep understanding of their inner self.
Practitioners use various techniques such as mindfulness, breathwork, chanting, and visualization to become more aware of their thoughts and feelings. They learn to accept them without judgment or attachment and to find peace within themselves. The goal of Chan meditation is to achieve a state of mindfulness where one can experience peace even in times of chaos and turmoil.
