The term "Wushu" means " Martial art " or "martial arts" and refers to a variety of Chinese martial arts that have developed over the centuries.

WuShu (also known as Kung Fu) is a Chinese martial art that originated in China.
The origin of WuShu goes back to the early Chinese martial arts used by soldiers and warriors to defend themselves in war. Over the centuries, these martial arts have evolved and changed to include both defensive and offensive techniques. Over time, WuShu has evolved, spawning new schools in many regions that have developed their own techniques and styles. In China, traditional martial arts were also called WuShu in the past. Today, the term WuShu is only used for competitive discipline and Kung-Fu for traditional schools.
Posture, speed and expression play a decisive role. WuShu or Taolu forms consist of acrobatic movements and powerful jumps. Posture, strength, speed and expression play a decisive role. Our WuShu Primary School forms an optimal basis for the execution of all forms in North or South style.
Graduation System of WuShu
The graduation system is based on the student's achievements and abilities. There are eight levels that students can go through, starting with a beginner level (1-3) and ending with an advanced level (7-9). In the beginner level, students learn basic skills such as postures, punches, kicks and forms. In the higher levels, they learn more complex techniques such as weapon fighting and sparring. Once a student reaches the advanced level, they can compete or perform demonstrations.
To advance to the higher levels, students must demonstrate their skills and knowledge in front of a jury. They must meet all the criteria set by the jury before they can advance to the next level. For outstanding achievements in the individual grades, the students can also be awarded medals. The graduation system is designed to reward hard work and dedication to practice. It sets goals for students that encourage them to develop their skills and strive for excellence in their training.
Northern and Southern WuShu / Kung Fu styles
The northern Kung Fu WuShu styles have their origins in the northern regions of China. They are usually large, powerful and powerful, with many fast and explosive movements. Characteristic of the northern styles are the use of long weapons such as spears, swords and staffs.
The southern styles have their origins in the southern regions of China, especially in Guangdong province. Characteristic of the southern styles are the use of short weapons such as sword, stick and knife. However, there is a lot of overlap and connections between the Northern and Southern styles, and many schools and teachers incorporate techniques and elements from both styles into their teaching methods.

A Chinese martial art that combines physical training, acrobatics, speed, strength and complex coordination. The focus is on correct body mechanics as well as on the development of mental sporting discipline and concentration. The emphasis on correct form and body mechanics makes it an excellent form of training for young people. These exercises involve explosive movements that promote strength and flexibility. In addition, these exercises help to develop flexibility, balance, strength and endurance.
